Requirements

Registration Workspace 365

For registration of a Workspace 365 environment, you need an Azure account with the Global Administrator role.

An Exchange license is not required to register a Workspace 365 environment. However, it is strongly recommended to have at least 1 admin in the environment with a valid Exchange license, as this is required for request emergency access.

Workspace 365 users

Each user must have an Azure account, with or without an Microsoft 365 license. However, if a user has no Microsoft 365 license, not all functionalities will be available in Workspace. When users are imported or synced to the Workspace, they are automatically assigned a Workspace 365 license.

Email & Calendar

To use the Workspace Email app, Email live tile and Calendar live tile, users must have a valid Exchange license. Most Microsoft 365 plans include an Exchange Online license.

Documents (SharePoint)

To use the Workspace Documents app, Documents live tile or add a news feed from a SharePoint intranet within a RSS live tile, users must have a valid SharePoint license. Most Microsoft 365 plans include a SharePoint license.

Single Sign-On

For Single Sign-On, two methods are available:

  • oAuth2 (recommended)

  • Web Services Federation (only supported for on-premises versions of Workspace 365)

Remote applications

You can integrate your own hosted application via our Clientless RDP solution, or with Citrix XenApp 7.9 or higher, with SAML-federation to Azure. You can also integrate Azure Virtual Desktop.
