Additions
It’s now possible create events in The Hub. Creators can configure several options, including the event type (physical, online, hybrid), location, online meeting URL, ticket type and number of available spots for attendees. Users who have access to an event, can attend the event by clicking the “Attend” button on the details page.
When attending an event, it’s automatically added to the Exchange calendar of the attendee.
Events are added to the Hub live tile. Via Edit tile settings, the view can be set to events.
It’s now possible to react on birthday wishes in the Activity feed.
Email live tiles contain a Load more button to show more emails in the tile.
Technical items
We have switched over the permission checks in The Hub to use the group hierarchy data, this should make retrieving Hub content faster for environments with large amounts of groups or a complex group hierarchy.
In release 3.55, we started to make a better distinction between the primary email address and User Principal Name. In this release, we have further improved the usage of this data throughout the product to select the correct one. For example, the @CurrentUser.Email placeholder now uses the primary email address and we have introduced the @CurrentUser.UserPrincipalName for the User Principal Name.
Fixes
Announcements which are in the ‘Uncategorised’ category were not shown correctly in the daily summary email.
The Confirmation copy to field is removed from the User management page.
Fixed an issue where links added to a paragraph of an announcement or knowledge item would not always be persisted correctly.
When typing a URL in the rich text editor, it didn’t automatically turn into a link after pressing the space bar.
Drop-over menus in the mobile app are broken on the iPhone.
Text in buttons wasn’t centered correctly in the mobile app on Android 10 tablets.
Improvements
We improved the experience of full screen dialogs on mobile devices.
When replying to an email message, the email remains selected.
We improved the styling and interaction of the Manage sidebar for spaces and email folders. The position of items can be changed using drag-and-drop.
Admins can no longer skip the Billing information step in the Welcome wizard.
