Removal: the DocumentTemplateLoadingEnabled setting
Removal: the DocumentTemplateLoadingEnabled setting
Updated over a week ago

In the 3.57 release, the setting 'DocumentTemplateLoadingEnabled' will be removed.
โ€‹The setting shows/hides the SharePoint Template options in the Workspace SharePoint settings.

In this example, the setting is set on: True. This is the case for all Hosted Partners/Environments.
Self-hosted partners can change this, but not any more in the next release.

It was introduced many years ago due to performance issues. As this setting no longer plays a role in performance issues, We're deprecating the option to show or hide the template options.

This change only affects self-hosted partners, who may still have this setting on False. As it will now after 3.55 always be shown.

Example scenario

Setting 1: DocumentTemplateLoadingEnabled

  • For hosted environments, this is set to TRUE.

  • For self-hosted environments, it may be set to FALSE.

Setting 2: Template availability (which is displayed under settings > Integrations > Sharepoint)

mceclip0.png

  • Option 1: 'Show all templates of the company in every library'.

  • Option 2: 'Only show templates of the current library'.

If setting 1 is set to TRUE, then setting 2 will be displayed.

If setting 1 is set to FALSE, then setting 2 will be hidden.

In our database, an option for setting 2 is always filled in, regardless of whether it is shown or hidden. So, when setting 1 is set to TRUE, the two options under Template availability are shown and can be adjusted. And if we remove setting 1, this also automatically means that setting 2 becomes visible to those who still had it enabled.
