These guides will help you understand how to connect to Workspace 365 using the APS standard and further configuration of Workspace 365 using the Odin platform.

1.0 Introduction

This guide is created to help you configure Workspace 365 successfully. This guide shows how to create a Workspace 365 environment using the Odin platform.

Workspace 365 is a complete online workspace. This provides organizations a complete online workspace in the Cloud.

2.0 Odin requirements for configuring Workspace 365 APS

The following components need to be installed on the Odin platform:

  • Minimal PHP 5.3.1
  • PHP Extension: Curl
  • PHP XML

You can install these components by running the following commands:

# yum install php php-xmlrpc php-xml curl

When done, restart the httpd service to load the PHP and components:

# service httpd restart

3.0 Office 365 requirements for configuring Workspace 365

  1. Create an Office 365 environment
  2. Create a Global Administrator in Office 365 and assign him one of the Office 365 subscriptions, containing a SharePoint plan for document storage and/or Exchange plan for using the Email App

Note: This administrator must also be the administrator in Workspace 365.

4.0 APS package import

Log in to the Odin platform, and navigate to Applications, APS Packages, as the provider and click the Import Package button as shown below:

Select the local file option and search for the package to upload in your file browser. Once selected, submit the form:

The APS package should now be available and will be validated in a few seconds

5.0 Create the Environment resource type

  • Click on the Package.
  • Navigate to "Resource Types"
  • Click "Create"
  • Click "Application"
  • Fill in a "Name" and optional a "Description" and click "Next"
  • Set the "Provisioning endpoint" and "User endpoint" to the urls where they can be reached.

NOTE: the endpoints should include the protocol (e.g. https) and port (e.g. 443) confirming the settings set in IIS and have a trailing "/". Currently the provisioning API is on the same instance and should be set to {User endpoint}Provisioning/ (e.g. https://localhost/Provisioning/)
  • Set the provisioning key to match the one defined in the "Configure Workspace365" configuration
  • Leave the remainder of the fields empty (these fields need to be filled in by the reseller/customer when he/she creates the resources)
  • Click "Next"
  • Uncheck "Automatically provision application"

  • Click "Next"
  • Click "Next"
  • Click "Finish"

6.0 Create user license application counters

Portal license

  • In the "Resource Types" pane
  • Click "Create"
  • Click "Application Counter (unit)"
  • Fill in a "Name" (e.g. Workspace 365 Portal) and optional a "Description" and click "Next"
  • Click the "Amount of Portal licenses" and click "Next"

Hybrid license

  • In the "Resource Types" pane
  • Click "Create"
  • Click "Application Counter (unit)"
  • Fill in a "Name" (e.g. Workspace 365 Hybrid) and optional a "Description" and click "Next"
  • Click the "Amount of Hybrid licenses" and click "Next"

Ultimate license

  • In the "Resource Types" pane
  • Click "Create"
  • Click "Application Counter (unit)"
  • Fill in a "Name" (e.g. Workspace 365 Ultimate) and optional a "Description" and click "Next"
  • Click the "Amount of Ultimate licenses" and click "Next"

When done you should have an overview like:

Create the Service Template

  • Navigate to the Service  Templates section
  • Click "+ Add New Service Template"
  • Fill in Name and uncheck Autoprovisioning:

  • Click "Next"
  • When created click on the Service template which you just created
  • Navigate to "Resources"
  • Click "+ Add resources"
  • Select the "Workspace 365 Portal", "Workspace 365 Hybrid", "Workspace 365 Ultimate" resources and click "Submit"
  • Now your Service template is created. 

Create the subscription

  • Navigate to the Subscriptions section
  • Click "+ Create New Subscription"
  • Select the desired customer
  • Select Workspace 365
  • Click "Next"
  • You should get the following overview:

  • Click "Finish"

The Workspace 365-2.0-{#}.app.zip file, provisioning/user endpoint and provisioning key can be provided by New Day at Work.

7.0 Create the Workspace 365 Environment

  • Open the customer portal:

  • On the Home page, select "Workspace 365"

  • Click "Create"
  • Fill in the Environment name, Office 365 email address (global admin), Office 365 password, First name, Last name:

  • Click "Next"
  • You will see the following overview screen:

  • Click "Finish"
  • After that you'll see the following notification

  • Your Workspace 365 environment will now be created.

Create the Business App credits resource type

  • Click "Create"
  • Click "Application Counter (unit)"
  • Fill in a "Name" and optional a "Description" and click "Next"
  • Click "The amount of Business App credits"
  • Click "Finish"
