3. Configure Clientless RDP Connections

To configure the Clientless RDP connection, you can download an RDP file from the application on the RD web. The information from this file is needed to set up the connection.

In the workspace, navigate to the Clientless RDP settings and- after creating the gateway - click on New connection. From there, you will need to provide the information you got from the RDP file.

Some of these fields are mandatory to fill in.

These fields are optional to fill in.

Terminal server gateway

These fields are optional to fill in.

To support the connections from a desktop and/or app connection on a Terminal Server, you can add the Gateway settings in this section. You can retrieve this information by downloading and editing the .rdp file on your pc.

  • Hostname: This is the hostname of the RDS/Terminal Server gateway (=RDWeb)
  • Port: By default port 443 is used. If you use this port, the field can be let empty.
If you use RDWeb and RD Gateway then all you need is tcp port 443 (or 80). If you only use RDWeb then you would need tcp port 443 for RDWeb and tcp port 3389 (by default) for RDP (see port value under configure connection above).
  • Domain: Configure a domain for this gateway.
  • Loadbalance info: Configure loadbalance info for this gateway.

To edit or delete existing connections of the gateway, select a connection from the overview and choose the action from the action bar.

Note: When a connection is deleted, the created app will still be available from apps management and the user’s dashboard. Only the link to the connection is removed. This will result in an error when opening the app. To enable the correct usage off the app, choose the correct connection from the dropdown in apps management.
