1. Why would I choose Workspace 365?

Employees have access to internet on different devices. That’s why traditional workspace solutions try to visualise old technologies to new devices, which isn’t suitable for a lot of employees or even unaffordable.

Since Workspace 365 sees the browser as its operating system, it delivers an affordable workspace solution which is accessible on any device. In the workspace you're able to manage your email, documents and all your business processes from one central starting point. The intuitive user interface ensures more structure and simplicity for the underlying technology, which increases the productivity of an employee.

2. Why would I choose Workspace 365 instead of Office 365?

In Workspace 365 we use the strongest components of Office 365 and we’ve simplified SharePoint, so anybody can understand it without any explanation. This way, you enhance the adoption and limit the amount of questions from employees. Next to this, Workspace 365 offers the simplification of allocating applications to employees’ workspaces. It’s one portal where, based on your role, you can open any application with one click and password. Another big difference is the Workspace 365 live tiles. We integrate information and actions in the workspace, so you have insight into all the information you need for a day’s work. By linking the workspace with third party applications, you can perform actions directly, without having to leave the workspace.

3. What is the added value for the customer?

  • Start from one central point for online, hosted and local applications
  • Increased productivity by creating more structure and simplicity
  • Easily manage or create documents and email
  • Support business processes with Business Apps, like CRM and Project Management
  • Work at any time, anywhere and on any device with a browser in one online workspace
  • Pay per user, per month. Scalable IT costs

4. Does Workspace 365 work on tablets and smartphones/is there an app available?

Workspace 365 is completely browser-based and works on any device with an internet connection. Visit the workspace with the same shortcut as a desktop and the Workspace 3655 interface adjusts to the resolution of the device.

5. How long does it take to implement Workspace 365?

Implementing Workspace 365 takes hardly any time at all. However, for the entire workspace, you need to take the underlying services into account. These have a lot influence on the implementation time (e.g. migrations to SharePoint, set up Remote Desktop, set up Azure etc.). Also, it’s important to consider the adoption. Read more about the adoption and implementation of Workspace 365.

6. How safe is the workspace?

With Workspace 365 you can use the same security as with Office 365. This way you have a high security level. A lot of care facilities use Workspace 365 to secure their digital workspace. In the workspace it’s possible to set up Multi-Factor Authentication, so hackers don’t have any use for a password. Next to this, you can set up conditional access to applications (e.g. block the use of an application from a certain device, network or browser).

7. Is Multi Factor Authentication / 2-way authentication possible?

Yes, this is possible when you choose Oauth as Single Sign-On method within Workspace 365.

8. Where are my data, files and emails stored?

This depends on where Workspace 365 is acquired. Usually, all the Workspace 365 data is stored in a Dutch data centre. The IT partner decides where the workspace is hosted. Data (documents and email) for which software like Office 365, Exchange or SharePoint is used, isn’t stored in the New Day at Work data centre. It depends on the partner and the choice of licences where documents and email are stored.

Office 365: Your documents are safely stored at Microsoft in Amsterdam and Dublin in heavily secured data centres. Additionally, Microsoft allows their customers to encrypt their data to increase security.

Exchange/SharePoint: Some Workspace 365 partners choose to host Workspace 365, SharePoint and Exchange themselves, which gives you the security you are accustomed to.

9. Can I access my documents offline?

Yes, you can! By connecting Workspace 365 to Office 365 and using the OneDrive for Business sync client, you can access your documents any time, anywhere, depending on your settings. Read here how to set this up.

10. Is it possible to link to other software?

It’s possible to simply make a connection to web apps, business apps and legacy applications. Furthermore, there’s an API available to connect to other software. New Day at Work works with multiple Business Partners to provide these customised connections.

11. Am I stuck to a long-term contract?

This is dependent on the Business Partner. New Day at Work strives to work with the per user, per month principle.

12. Is an SLA available?

All our Business Partners have access to an SLA, which is made available by New Day at Work

13. Do you work with quantity discount?

For large numbers we maintain a quantity discount for our Business Partners for their entire customer base. An IT partner has the choice to give a quantity discount to their customers. Please get in touch with your account manager for this.

14. Do you have special prices for education/non-profit?

Yes. To support educational and non-profit organisations, we offer special prices. You can request these prices from your partner manager.

15. What are the differences between the Workspace 365 licences and which one do I need?

On our website you can find the different Workspace 365 licences. It also explains which components fall under the licences.

16. Is there flexible deployment in the different Workspace 365 licences or do I have to acquire the same licence for all users?

Depending on the contract agreements between the IT partner and the customer, it’s possible to deploy the licences flexibly. Due to this, it’s possible to acquire a licence per individual user. The licences are automatically determined by the design of the workspace.

17. What’s the difference between Workspace 365 and a social intranet?

Workspace 365 is a digital workspace where you can integrate applications and documents as well as a social intranet. By integrating your social intranet in the digital workspace, which people use daily to access their apps and documents in one click, you can increase the adoption of your social intranet. Read more about combining a social intranet with Workspace 365.

18. With which Office 365 licences can I combine Workspace 365?

Which licence you need depends on the features you want to use. You can use any Office 365 licence. We suggest you read this page for more information about configuration possibilities.
