Spotify live tile
You can create a Spotify live tile which can show a playlist, a track or a profile. In this example, we will show you how to create a playlist live tile.
Getting the code
First, go to the Spotify web player and find the playlist you want to show.
Here, we need the URL from that playlist:
After this, we will need to create the embedded code.
<iframe src='https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:playlist:37i9dQZF1DX4UtSsGT1Sbe' frameborder='0' allowtransparency='true'></iframe>
Note: you can alter this code, if you want it to display a track, all you need to do is change this part from the code:
Change "playlist" to "track" and "37i9dQZF1DX4UtSsGT1Sbe" to the digits and numbers series that the browser will show for that specific track.
Adding the app
Now that we have the code, go to your Workspace 365. From there, go to the appstore.
Choose "+New app" and then "Web content".
At this new page, you can choose a lot of options for the application. There are two required fields:
- App name: Give the application a name you want it to have.
- Embed code: Place the code for the content here.
When you provided the required information, it should look something like this:
When done, click "Save and Back" and then click "Close" to close the appstore.
At your dashboard, click "+Add tiles" and select the app we just created.
Then click "Add to workspace".
This will open a section where you can give the group a name and choose the size for the application to display. To change the group name, click on it. To change the application size, hover on it and click the three dots on the top right that will come up.
We chose to display it as a 8x8 live tile. When done, click "Save" on the top of your dashboard.
And this should be the result:
