One-click to email from email tile

Can we do a direct link to the email clicked on from the Live Tile to the email client?

Now a click defaults to the users inbox view (primary inbox). When users have multiple boxes (multiple live tiles) they get to the primary inbox.

We would like to have the option to open the locally installed Outlook client.

Hi Marco,

Would you like to have a tile that opens the locally installed Outlook client or the feature when you click on a e-mail with the live tile it opens the locally installed Outlook client?

The first option is possible with every application that is locally installed, we've already implemented this at one of our customers. The second option I am very interested in, rather that I would like to see that there will be a live tile available for Outlook itself, in stead of the native mail client within WS365, from where you directly can open a e-mail within the Outlook Web Client of locally installed Outlook client.

Hi Ralph,

We would like the feature when you click on an unread e-mail within the live tile, it opens the locally installed Outlook client and jumps to that specific message.

The same option (Open in Excel/Word Online or Open in Excel/Word) when opening a document would be great for e-mail messages.

We already provided an Outlook tile.

Our customer needs to use the locally installed Outlook client for multiple reasons

-save message as a msg file in SharePoint Document Library

-save attachments directly to SharePoint Document Library, not first to OneDrive

-use a special Safe Email Button (add-on)
