Quick reference:
Settings -> Integrations -> Clientless RDP
Introduction
After configuring the Clientless RDP gateway in the workspace, you can start adding connections to the gateway.
Configure Clientless RDP connections
Navigate to the RD Web Access of your RDP environment.
Download the RDP file of the application you want to add as a Clientless RDP connection.
Open the RDP file with a text editor (e.g. Notepad), information from this file is needed to set up the Clientless RDP connection in Workspace.
Go back to the Clientless RDP Settings in the workspace.
Select the gateway and click Open.
Click New connection to configure a new connection.
Enter the information to configure the connection, mandatory fields are highlighted in bold:
Configure connection
Name: the name of the connection, this will be displayed when configuring the Clientless RDP app later on
Server address: enter the "full address" value from the RDP file here
Port: enter the port the RDP server is listening on. If no value is entered, the default value of 3389 is used. If you use RD Web and RD Gateway, you can enter the port at the terminal server gateway settings below
Display desktop background: set whether the background of the RDP connection is enabled
Remote app
Program: if you want to link this connection to a specific app, enter the program name here. Make sure to place “||” in front of the program name (e.g. ||Moneydance). Leaving this field blank will open the full desktop
Work directory: Enter the location of the specified application in the Program field (e.g. C:\PublishedApps\ or C:\Windows\System32\)
Parameters: Configure parameters for the remote app connection
Terminal server gateway
Hostname: Enter the “gatewayhostname” value from the RDP file here
Port: Enter the port the RDS/Terminal Server gateway is listening on. If no value is entered, the default of 443 is used. If you use RD Web and RD Gateway, all you need is TCP port 443 or 80. If you only use RD Web you would need TCP port 443 for RD Web and TCP port 3389 (by default) for RDP (see port value under configure connection above)
Domain: Configure a domain for this gateway
Loadbalance info: If you use load balancing, enter the “loadbalanceinfo” value from the RDP file here, otherwise leave this empty
Save the connection when you're done.
Here's an example:
Delete connection
When a connection is deleted, the created app will still be available from apps management and the user’s Workspace. Only the link to the connection is removed. This will result in an error when opening the app. To enable the correct usage off the app, choose the correct connection from the dropdown in apps management.
Proceed to step 4.
