Clientless RDP whitelisting
Updated over a week ago

Introduction

Whitelist is a feature that allows you to accept certain IP addresses to access your network. You can allow or whitelist a specific IP address (or IP range). If you have your RDS gateway blocked from external IPs, you need to whitelist the CRDP Gateway for it to work with Workspace 365.

To retrieve the correct IP address, you can simply ping the Gateway URL where Clientless RDP is hosted on.

Bear in mind that this is not the IP range for the Workspace 365 Instance. If you want to whitelist Clientless RDP, you need to use the external IP address of the Clientless RDP machine itself.

Instructions

Step 1. Get the IP address for the Clientless RDP Gateway

  1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run Prompt

  2. Type CMD and press Enter

  3. In the Command Prompt window, type ping followed by the domain name, e.g.:

    ping rdp.workspace365.net

Under 'Ping statistics', you will now be presented with the IP address where Clientless RDP is accessible from.

Step 2. Whitelist the URL

Add the IP address from the Command Prompt to the whitelist you use (depending on what has been configured for your network). After doing so, you should be able to use Clientless RDP to connect to RDS.
