Issue with opening .rdpw file directly
Explanation:
A previous version of the Remote desktop Client (RemoteDesktop_1.2.1186.0_x64) had some issues with opening the .rdpw file directly. The app was not launched as expected.
Solution:
Microsoft looked into this problem and it seems the issue has been resolved from the update 1.2.1755 of the client. For more information, take a look at this article: What's new in the Remote Desktop client for Windows.
Issue with .rdpw files going to the Downloads folder
Explanation:
Instead is opening the .rdpw file immediately, it is first placed in the Downloads folder.
Solution:
This is a browser setting on how the browser should handle downloaded files. Workspace does not control this. Review your browser settings to resolve this.
