Release notes Workspace 365 v4.11.0
Updated over a week ago

Hi,

The release of Workspace 365 v4.11.0 has been deployed on 27-06-2024. Here are the release notes for this version:

Additions

  • Users can postpone announcement and event pop-ups. A "Show later" button has been added to the footer of the pop-up and contains three options: "In 1 hour", "In 3 hours", and "1 day". When clicking one of the options, all the remaining pop-ups will be dismissed and shown again after an x amount of time. The pop-up header and Show Later button indicate how many remaining pop-ups the user has.

  • Appointment invitations can now be accepted or declined in the Calendar app. Accept and Decline buttons are added to the details box of an appointment invitation. The user accepts or declines the entire series.

  • It's now possible to enlarge images in Hub items. When clicking an image, it opens in an image viewer with zoom options. If a Hub item contains multiple images, you can view and open the other images from the image gallery at the bottom of the viewer.

  • The welcome wizard has an entirely new design and is extended with more steps. Each step is now shown on a full page with a supportive visual instead of in a dialog. In addition to the current steps, the wizard asks the user for their preferred language and workspace theme and to fill in profile information (e.g., about me, expertise, working days). At the end of the wizard, the user can open a product guide to read more information about the workspace. The step where admins can enable/disable apps is removed from the welcome wizard.

Technical items

  • We switched over the date/time presentation to a different library. Some minor differences are expected.

Fixes

  • In WebDAV, a general error was shown when uploading an image that was too large.

  • The Like button in the birthday wishes activity was incorrectly aligned.

  • Modifying a Hub template also changed the creation date.

  • There was no spacing between the modified date and author in the Egnyte advanced search results.

  • Console log errors occurred when editing an image in the Hub item description.

  • In the Manage Hub items dialog, Hub items and templates had different selection behaviours.

  • If the user didn't have edit template permissions, a 403 error occurred when selecting a template in the Choose template dialog.

  • If the image was the only changed element, a 500 error occurred when sending an event activity.

  • When renaming a WebDAV folder with opened/locked files, a 500 error occurred.

  • A second click on the calendar icon reopened the date picker instead of closing it.

  • You would get redirected to the Personal space when creating a new tile from a shared space.

  • You would get two audit log entries when creating a new app.

  • Sometimes, a console error would occur after opening the Choose template dialog.

Improvements

  • The disabled state of multiple components, including buttons, checkboxes, and input fields, has a new styling. The new design has more contrast and makes it easier to differentiate disabled elements from active elements.

  • On iOS, context menus are now supported by holding a touch longer than 600 milliseconds without moving.
