The release of Workspace 365 4.17 was deployed on 31-10-2024. Here are the release notes for this version:
Additions
We introduce two new APIs for listing Hub items: the Announcement listing API and the Event listing API. With these APIs, it is possible to retrieve announcements and events, including the title, preview, thumbnail, and statistics, such as the number of views, reactions, and comments.
The "Manage users, groups, permissions, and user provisioning" permission is added to the permissions pages. This allows access to create/edit/delete users and groups, set permissions, and edit user provisioning settings.
Fixes
Selecting users or groups for permissions was impossible while creating an integration.
In some scenarios, the workspace edit action was available on mobile.
In shorter viewports, the global navigation bar could overflow the viewport, resulting in the elements near the bottom not being accessible.
An infinite busy indicator could occur in The Hub live tile when you resize the viewport width.
Auto-focus did not work for dropovers with an input field.
An infinite busy indicator occurred if you opened a deleted or inaccessible Hub item.
A list of tags was not displayed correctly if you decreased the viewport size quickly.
In rare scenarios, a user could be partially deleted, so you could not complete the deletion.
Improvements
A user-friendly error alert is shown when clicking a shared item activity to which you no longer have permission.
Double-clicking a calendar appointment opens the appointment details dialog.
There are no lines between form items in mobile mode anymore.
Hub cards have a different hover animation. When hovering a card, the media element is zoomed in.
In the Settings and Documents pages and the item picker dialog, the search and filter bars are bigger and span the entire page width. The placeholder texts in the bars are more detailed and clarify what users can search or filter on.
The draft and junk folders in the Email sidebar show the total number of emails instead of the unread count.
“Who has access” tables span the entire width.
The contact details display the upcoming birthday instead of the birth date.
The content layout in the Documents app and item picker dialog has changed for desktop and tablet. The actionbar below the header is removed. Below the breadcrumbs, a title section with default actions is displayed. The title is the name of the current folder. When selecting one or multiple items, the title and default actions are replaced with contextual actions. In future releases, this new content layout will be applied to other pages in the product.
The More button in the actionbar is now an icon button.
Clicking the date slider above the timeline in the Calendar app opens the date selector.
Multiple colors in the product are updated to match the WCAG AA accessibility standards. Hover colors that are based on the primary colour are opaque instead of transparent.
