We’re excited to introduce Workspace 365 v4.22! This release brings new features, enhancements, and fixes designed to improve your digital workplace experience.
Document app: Recently opened documents
The new Recently Opened page in the Document app gives you quick access to up to 100 of your most recently opened SharePoint documents. This was previously only available in the live tile. With this view it's now easier than ever to pick up where you left off.
Spotlight for Hub items
Keep your team informed with a new Hub live tile feature that allows you to highlight an important announcement, event, or knowledge article. You can choose one item to be visible within your digital workplace, which is perfect for ensuring important updates reach the right people.
Small, but impactful
Admins can now export selected users from the Licensing page to a CSV file, making reporting and user management more efficient.
Table filters now stay open after clearing, making it easier to refine your search, especially on mobile.
A fresh redesign of the Select & Upload Icon dialogs improves navigation and allows you to edit custom icons effortlessly.
From an improved date picker to better sidebar management, small but powerful tweaks make everyday tasks smoother.
Total list of all releases
The release of Workspace 365 v4.22.0 will be deployed on 06-03-2024 between 22:00 and 00:00 Central European Time. The following will be implemented when this version goes live:
Additions
A new "Recently opened" page has been added to the Documents app, listing your recently opened SharePoint documents. This page appears as the first item within the Cloud documents section and displays up to 100 recently opened documents.
You can now spotlight a specific Hub item in the live tile. A new layout option in the Edit Hub tile sidebar allows you to feature one announcement, event, or knowledge article.
On the Licensing page, it’s now possible to export a selection of users to a CSV file.
Fixes
On the Hub item details page, empty paragraphs did not have the correct height.
Drag-and-drop behaviour for managing sidebars did not work correctly on Safari.
Improvements
When the date picker opens, it displays the current date directly.
A separator is added between the Deselect all action and the rest of the actions in the action bar.
The user experience of the filters for table columns has been improved. When clicking the Clear button, the filter dropdown remains open. On mobile, the filter dropdown elements are now full-width.
The Select icon and Upload icon dialogs have been redesigned. Both dialogs now open in a larger left-side slider. The Select icon dialog includes a sidebar that categorises icons. Each category's icons are grouped into different sections based on their first letter. The Upload Icon button has been moved from the footer to the content section. All icons are now displayed on a grey background instead of the primary colour. The Upload icon dialog features a placeholder where users can click to open a file selector, replacing the previous Select icon button in the footer. In addition to all the design changes, you can now also edit custom icons.
On the "Shared with me" page, an inline info alert bar will be shown instead of a pop-up alert that informs the user about the page.
