In this new release, we’ve added shared calendar support, made the sidebar experience even smoother, and introduced subtle improvements that make your digital workplace easier to use.
Add shared calendars in the Calendar app
You can now add calendars from colleagues or teams to your own view in the Calendar app. Just click ‘Add calendar’, search for someone in the directory, and if you have permission their calendar will appear under ‘Other calendars’.
What does it mean?
View calendars of your colleagues alongside your own.
Plan meetings more easily.
No more switching between tools to stay aligned.
UX changes to sidebar
To improve the user experience, we’ve made several small updates to the sidebars, especially when managing items in the Hub.
What does it mean?
After creating a new group, category, or space while searching, the view resets and scrolls to the new item.
Hidden actions for items that can’t be moved.
Clear “no results” message when searches return nothing in ‘Move to group’.
Small but impactful
Improved breadcrumbs styling.
Maximum length for Hub category description: 255 characters.
Event icon has changed.
Total list of all releases
The release of Workspace 365 v4.24.0 will be deployed on 17-04-2024 between 22:00 and 00:00 Central European Time. The following will be implemented when this version goes live:
Additions
You can now manually add calendars to the Calendar app. Simply click the "Add calendar" button in the sidebar above the list of added calendars. This will open a dialog where you can search for and select a contact from the directory. Manually added calendars will appear under the "Other calendars" section in the sidebar. To remove one, click the three-dot menu next to it and choose "Remove".
Fixes
In large environments, it was possible that some mobile notifications would never be delivered.
In the Calendar app, editing appointments in the 6th week of the month caused the app to crash.
The Zermelo calendar live tile did not display the full-time range.
Improvements
The user experience of the Manage Hub, Spaces, and Mailboxes sidebars has been improved. When a search term is active, and the user clicks a Create button, the search input is now cleared automatically. Additionally, if a space or Hub category cannot be moved to another group, the "Move to group" option is hidden. A no results message is displayed if no search results are found in the "Move to group" menu.
The icon for Hub events has been updated to a calendar with a star inside it, making it more distinct from the Calendar app icon.
The breadcrumb styling has been improved: the text is now smaller, only the last item is bold, and up to five items are displayed before they are moved to a three-dot menu.
On the Edit Branding page, the "Save" and three-dot buttons no longer flicker during page load when the branding title is long.
The "New" and "Upload" buttons in the Documents app no longer flicker during page load if the folder name is long.
A Hub category description's maximum length is now 255 characters.
