🚨 Pre-release notes Workspace 365 v4.27.0

Updated this week

Notifications for Communities

Now, you’ll receive a notification (activity) for every new post, comment or mention in Communities, keeping everyone in the loop, without the need to check manually (see screenshot).

What does it mean?

  • Members are automatically notified of new activity.

  • You’ll stay informed about conversations that matter.

  • Start a reply directly from a notification, with the mention already added.

Why this helps:

  • Encourages more interaction.

  • No need to monitor Communities manually.

‘New’ status for Hub items

We’ve added a ‘New’ indicator to Hub items, helping you spot fresh content (see screenshot).

Why this helps:

  • Quickly see what’s just been added.

  • Easier to focus on what needs your attention.

Add images to groups in the Knowledge Base

Previously available for category cards, you can now add images to group cards too, making overviews in the Knowledge Base cleaner and more visual (see screenshot).

Why this helps:

  • Create a more engaging, organised Knowledge Base.

  • Use visuals to guide users through information more easily.

Small improvements

  • Automatically start a reply with a mention

Total list of all releases

The release of Workspace 365 v4.27.0 will be deployed on 19-06-2025 between 22:00 and 00:00 Central European Time. The following will be implemented when this version goes live:

Additions

  • When replying to a comment, the original author is now automatically mentioned. This occurred only when replying to a reply, but it now also applies to comments.

  • A "New" status is introduced for Announcements, Events and Knowledge articles. The "New" status is tracked individually for each user. When an item is published, it automatically gets a "New" label. Additionally, when a knowledge article is updated and an activity is sent, the "New" status is reset. In the hub sidebar, we display the number of new items for each group or category. You can filter items by their "New" status in the item overview page, using the button containing the filter icon next to the search bar. The "New" status is removed when a user opens the item, when the item is archived or deleted, or after 30 days.

Improvements

  • You can now add an image and description to a knowledge base group in the manage hub sidebar. To support these new features, the process for creating and editing a group has been updated: instead of editing the name inline, a dialog now opens. The image and description will be displayed on the group card.

  • We have redesigned the notification settings to provide a clearer distinction between the different types of items in the hub.

Beta programme

  • When you are a member of a community, you automatically follow it, and you will receive an activity when a new post is created in that community. However, you can choose to unfollow the community without leaving it, which means you’ll stop receiving notifications for new posts.

  • When you create a new post in a community, you automatically follow the post. You can also manually follow a post created by another user. You can also choose to manually follow posts created by others. Once you’re following a post, you’ll receive a notification whenever a new comment or reply is added.

  • You’ll receive an activity whenever you’re mentioned in a post comment.

  • The notification settings page has been updated to include the option to mute all these new activity types.
