Release notes Workspace 365 v3.52.0
Updated over a week ago

Hi,

The release of Workspace 365 v3.52.0 will be deployed on 27-10-2022 between 22:00 PM and 0:00 AM Central European Time. The following will be implemented when this version goes live:

Additions

  • We improved the design of The Hub on mobile. Instead of using cards, announcements and knowledge articles are now being shown in the form of list items. In addition, a floating action button is shown at the bottom of the screen which can be used to create new or edit items.

  • In the mobile app, external links are now being opened in the new app-in browser by default. Via the mobile app settings, users can choose in which browser external links should be opened: the app-in browser or the system browser.

  • With this release, we introduce the OpenIMS integration. This integration allows users to search for documents from OpenIMS in the global search function.

  • Knowledge items are now supported in global search.

  • We will introduce an Audit logging page, where admins can track changes within the workspace environment.

Check out our update blogs for more detailed information about new features.

Technical items

  • Removed the WS-FED single sign-on support for the Office 365 hosted instances.

  • We now enforce a unique user principal name value on the database level as well.

  • When the user agent header is not set, the product will now correctly assume device: desktop including notebook, operating system: other, browser: other instead of resulting in an error.

  • Replace the last remaining usage of the Path.GetTempFileName() API.

Fixes

  • We have increased the maximum length of a user group description to 1024 characters. This should resolve group synchronization via the SCIM API through Azure AD.

  • The job title would be displayed twice in global search results.

  • Group management doesn’t look good when there are no groups and an AD Sync is enabled. We improved the user group management visualization when there are no groups yet.

  • Fixed opening an Office document in a local editor directly after renaming it.

  • It was not possible to permanently delete users who had received birthday wishes.

  • We improved the auto-sizing of data table columns in the app store.

  • An activity stack would expand when clicking an action button on the top activity card.

  • Saving a newly added file server without refreshing the page would result in a new identity being issued every time.

  • Giving reactions on touch devices would not always be registered correctly.

  • The on-screen keyboard would not auto-close after searching in the advanced file search dialog.

  • In some cases, it was not possible to sign out from the mobile app on iOS.

Improvements

  • We improved the pager component for responsive viewports.

  • We limited the max length of an announcement comment to 1000 characters.

  • We now calculate the optimal color (i.e., dark or light) for text/icons on elements with a primary/header background color. The branding setting to use optimal colors for text/icons in (live) tiles is removed, as we do it by default.

  • The custom background image and colored live tile headers (which can be configured in the light theme settings) are not visible in the dark theme anymore.

  • To provide knowledge items without restrictions to a wider audience, we decided to move knowledge items from the Boost to the Adapt package.

  • Improved hover/selected styles for data tables.
