Fix v3.50 for manual user changes in Workspace: disable "PropagateUserChangesToActiveDirectory"
Updated over 6 months ago

Hi,
โ€‹

When you make manual user changes in Workspace, (e.g. changing a user's name, department, job title, etc.), Workspace tries to update/overwrite these values in Microsoft 365. This could result in an error ("error occurred during operation") and we consider this as unwanted behavior.

From v3.50 we disable the setting "PropagateUserChangesToActiveDirectory". By disabling this setting, Workspace stops trying to overwrite these user changes to Microsoft 365.

As a self-hosted partner, you need to disable this setting yourself despite updating the Workspace. However, you are not obligated to do so.

For more information on how to disable the setting "PropagateUserChangesToActiveDirectory" in the parameter file and core config, click here.
