Updated over a week ago

Introduction

In order to connect a workspace environment to the Clientless RDP gateway, a service account for the environment must be created on the gateway. In this article, we explain how to do this.

Create a service account

  1. Navigate to the Clientless RDP gateway URL and log in as the administrator.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Click on the Connections tab.

  4. Click on New Group.

  5. Enter the Connection group name, this must be equal to the Workspace 365 environment name.

E.g. https://subdomain.workspacedomain.net/environmentname -> environmentname will be the Connection group name.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Go to the Users tab.

  8. Click “New User”.

  9. Enter a name for the service account.
We recommend using the {EnvironmentName}ServiceUser syntax (replace "EnvironmentName" with the name of the workspace environment. This ensures you can distinguish between the service accounts as more customers use CRDP.

  10. Enter a password without special characters and symbols (only letters and digits are allowed).

  11. Enable the following permissions.

    - Create new users
    - Create new connections

  12. Enable the following permissions on the earlier created group.

    - Read
    - Update

The service account is now created. With this user, you can configure the CRDP gateway in the corresponding workspace environment.

Proceed to step 2.
