Release notes Workspace 365 v4.13.0
Updated over a week ago

The release of Workspace 365 v4.13.0 has been deployed on 08-08-2024 at 22:00 Central European Time. The following was implemented in this version:

Additions

  • Disabling personal and organisation contacts in the Address book app is now possible. When a contact source is disabled, the contacts are hidden in the Address book app, tile, and global and advanced search. It's not possible to disable workspace contacts. Contact sources can be managed from the App store's Edit Address book app page.

Fixes

  • A busy indicator was missing in the People section of the Advanced Search page.

  • If a user dismissed an announcement pop-up but opened it manually, it would still reappear.

  • The title of the confirmation dialog had an incorrect margin.

  • The language picker in the Profile menu didn't have a busy indicator.

  • When returning to the email list using the Back button in mobile mode, the emails were not displayed correctly.

  • It was impossible to move tiles and tile groups in the workspace on a tablet device.

Improvements

  • The faster loading experience for SharePoint documents has been improved. In the new implementation, we only load the sidebar content visible to the end user. This means that the content of a collapsed site will be loaded when the site is expanded. In the previous implementation, all sites were being loaded at once when opening the app. The new approach increases the loading experience and reliability. If you want to use the faster loading experience, enable the "Faster loading experience" on the SharePoint settings page.

  • The new disabled styling is applied to the following components: the action list, grid item, search input, stepper, and tree accordion. The new design has more contrast and makes it easier to differentiate disabled elements from active elements.

  • The responsive navigation experience has been changed. The root pages in the product (e.g., a document root folder) no longer contain a Back button in the workspace header. Subpages (e.g., a document subfolder) have a back button redirecting the user to the root page. Previously, main pages also had a Back button, which confused the end user since the user could be redirected to a completely different app or page in the workspace. Another change is that only one search page is available on mobile, the advanced search page.
