We’re always looking for ways to make your digital workplace more intuitive, collaborative, and engaging. Through our Innovation Sprints, we explore fresh perspectives and transform them into features that enhance your experience and empower your teams.
This update highlights three innovative features designed to elevate your digital workplace, alongside improvements to daily and weekly summaries, ensuring a more personalised and branded experience.
Innovation Highlights
Simplified FAQ navigation
We’ve introduced an accordion-style FAQ component in the Hub composer to make finding information simpler and more efficient. This clean, collapsible layout organises questions and answers, helping you quickly navigate content without cluttering the page.
Notify and connect
You can now tag colleagues directly in Hub articles using the new mention functionality. This feature allows you to highlight specific individuals, such as a contact person for further information, making it easier for readers to connect with the right person. Mentions link directly to user profiles, streamlining access to expertise and ensuring key contributors are clearly identified.
Inclusive profiles
We believe everyone should feel welcome and valued in the digital workplace. Users can now add their preferred pronouns to their profiles, offering a simple yet meaningful way to express themselves authentically.
Personalise your email summaries
Create a more polished and engaging experience for your audience with the latest updates to your daily and weekly summary emails. Now, announcement images as shown in the Hub are included, replacing the previous placeholder default image.
Release 4.20 update
Holiday schedule adjustment
In light of the upcoming holidays and to give our colleagues a well-deserved break, the usual release cycle will be adjusted. Release 4.20 will not follow the typical 3-week schedule; instead, we’ll be skipping one cycle. Our next release will take place in the new year on the 23rd of January, 2025. We appreciate your understanding and wish everyone a happy and restful holiday season!
Total list of all Release notes
The release of Workspace 365 v4.19.0 will be deployed on 12-12-2024 between 22:00 and 00:00 Central European Time. The following will be implemented when this version goes live:
Additions
This release introduces the ability to create, edit, and delete events in the Calendar app:
New events can be created by clicking the "New" button in the header section or clicking anywhere on the calendar grid. Doing so will open a sidebar where you can configure several important settings, including options to set a repeat schedule, add a Teams meeting, and write a description.
The options to edit and delete events are accessible through the appointment details drop-over, which can be opened by clicking on a calendar card. If an event is part of a series, you can edit or delete the current event, the current and following events, or all events in the series.
Daily and weekly email summaries display thumbnails for announcements with image covers.
Note: The activity summary emails sent on Friday the 13th of December and Monday the 16th of December did not include thumbnails. Subsequent emails should include thumbnails.
You can mention workspace users in announcements, events, and knowledge articles by typing the "@" symbol followed by their name. A dropdown menu will appear, displaying a list of people. When you click on a user from this dropdown, their name is added as a link. This link will take you to the user's contact details page.
A pronoun setting has been added to the user profile. The options available are "She/Her", "He/Him", and "They/Them".
Adding FAQ elements to announcements, events, and knowledge articles in the Hub composer is now possible. An FAQ element consists of one or more questions and answers. The questions and their answers can be expanded.
Admins are informed if the Workspace Single-Sign-On client secret is about to expire one month upfront.
Fixes
The multi-combobox placeholders appeared to have a fixed position, which caused them sometimes to be displayed outside of the component.
When clicking the “Click here to show images in the description” link in the calendar event details dialog, the images were not displayed at the correct sizes.
In Hub items and emails, links set to “open in new tab” would open a blank page in Microsoft Teams.
Images in the email body couldn't be shown in the Email app.
Improvements
The layout of The Hub's page content has been changed. The action bar beneath the header has been removed, and the buttons are now aligned to the far right of the page title. The filter bars have been expanded to occupy the entire width and include more detailed placeholders. The "Sort by" button is now next to the filter bar. Additionally, the subtitles have been adjusted to a smaller size on the Overview page.
